No matter how much we try to deny it; how we dress sends out particular unspoken messages to others. Whether it is a message that you do not conform to societal standards of what is deemed appropriate or fashionable or the fact that you follow trends can be inferred by simply looking at how you are dressed.

I have often been labeled as a 'carefree  black girl' based on my choice of clothing and the way in which I look as though I did not put in much thought into how I want to present myself. But believe it or not; even looking 'carefree' or effortlessly trendy takes a bit of effort.

Some people do not like dressing in ways that make them stand out too much in a crowd at the same time want to look good. These days we all want to rock that 'effortless swag'. This type of swag does however; require effort in that one needs to try and not look too extra while also avoiding looking like a hobo.  I am a thrifter who is in love with vintage pieces. I love thifting for clothing because firstly; it is cheap and one can find really unique pieces. Unlike when you shop in  popular retail stores. I  usually get many compliments from people who absolutely love my thrifted pieces. I then decided to start @stylebynzuri where i buy and resell beautiful vintage pieces. And because growth and progression is good; i have now decided to start a blog where I will be posting these beautiful pieces and speaking about the magic that is thrifted fashion wear.

Follow the page and subscribe as more thrifting and fashion tips will be posted :)
